What size boiler do I actually need?

Boiler sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate, and desired comfort level. Oversizing wastes energy and money; undersizing means cold rooms in winter. We calculate the correct size during our assessment using heat loss formulas, not guesses.

What's the difference between condensing and non-condensing boilers?

Condensing boilers like those from Navien extract heat from flue gases before venting, achieving 90%+ efficiency. Non-condensing models lose that heat and top out around 85%. Condensing boilers cost more upfront but save on heating bills over time. They require PVC venting and water treatment, which we discuss during selection.

What's the warranty on a new boiler?

Most Navien and Rinnai boilers come with a 5 to 10 year parts warranty, depending on the model. We'll register your system so the warranty activates and provide you with all documentation so your coverage is active from day one.

Do I need to treat the water in my boiler?

Yes. Boiler water should be treated to prevent scale buildup and corrosion inside the heat exchanger, and condensing boilers especially benefit from proper treatment. We'll discuss treatment options and costs when you select your system and add appropriate treatment during filling.
