// Why Central Florida chooses us

What sets our gas fire pits apart.

01

Licensed Gas Piping Specialists

Every gas fire pit starts with safe, properly sized gas piping, and that work is strictly for licensed professionals. Our technicians carry active Florida gas certifications and are trained in line sizing, approved materials, trenching depth, pressure testing, and leak detection. We verify pressure before the first flame is ever lit.

02

Professional Design & Layout

We do not just drop a fire pit in your yard. Our team walks your property, studies sightlines, seating flow, prevailing wind, and clearance to structures, then recommends the right size, shape, and style for how you actually use your backyard. Good planning means no expensive relocations later.

03

Propane & Natural Gas Experience

We install on both fuel systems and help you decide which makes sense. Natural gas is typically less expensive per BTU and never runs out but requires an available meter. Propane offers placement flexibility for homes without gas service. We size lines, regulators, and tanks correctly for either fuel.

04

Brand-Agnostic Installation

Already picked out a unit? We will install it. Still shopping? We will help you compare. We work with Warming Trends, Solo Stove, Artisan, HPC, American Fyre Designs, and most other manufacturers, plus custom mason-built pits. We give honest guidance on BTU output, ignition reliability, and warranty coverage.

05

Florida Code & Permitting

Gas fire pit installation in Florida requires a permit, a licensed contractor, and a final inspection every time. We know the Florida Fuel Gas Code, local setback and clearance requirements, and the paperwork for Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and surrounding counties. Everything is legal, insurable, and safe from day one.

// Gas fire pits FAQ

Questions Central Florida asks.

Straight answers, no upsell, no runaround.

Do I need a permit for a gas fire pit in Central Florida?

Yes. Florida requires a permit for any gas appliance installation that involves new or extended gas piping, and the work must be performed by a licensed contractor. We pull the permit, coordinate the inspection, and provide documentation when the job is complete. This protects your insurance and satisfies code.

What clearances does a gas fire pit require?

Every manufacturer specifies minimum distances to structures, overhangs, combustible materials, and property lines, and Florida code layers on top of that. Typical clearances run 3 to 10 feet from walls, eaves, and fences depending on BTU output. We verify clearances during the design visit.

Should I choose propane or natural gas?

If your home already has natural gas service, that is usually the better long-term choice: lower cost per hour of burn and no tank to refill. Propane wins when there is no gas main at the curb, when the pit is far from the meter, or when you want freedom to move the setup later. We price both honestly.

Can you install a fire pit under a covered lanai or pergola?

Sometimes, but only with the right unit. A fire pit listed for covered installation, adequate ceiling height, and non-combustible clearances above the flame are all required. Many standard outdoor-only units prohibit use under roofs. We confirm the unit's listing and the space's dimensions first.

How long does a gas fire pit installation take?

Most installs run one to three days of active work, depending on gas line distance, trenching, and whether masonry is involved. A short run to an existing natural gas line with a pre-fab unit is a one-day job. A new line and a custom stone pit can take longer, plus permit and inspection time.

Can you integrate the fire pit with an outdoor kitchen or pool heater?

Absolutely, and it is smart to plan it that way. Running one correctly sized natural gas line to feed the fire pit, grill, patio heaters, and pool heater is far cheaper than adding each one later. We calculate total BTU demand and route lines so the whole outdoor space is ready to expand.
